Hot Japan… welcomes two friends of mine from US today.
I had no plan until the dinner with them today.
Thus, spending time for nothing until then.
During the time that I did nothing, G-Shock was perfect telling me time…
Then, I switched it to Royal Oak since I had to show up to the ANA Intercontinental Tokyo - one of luxury hotel in Akasaka.
Yeah, exciting to see friends whom I hadn't seen for a long time.
Dawn and Xavier - they are my colleagues in old time when I was working in Atlanta.
Dawn was a great friend of mine… we played softball together for many years.
She even wrote a recommendation letter for Thunderbird MBA entrance. I owe her a lot!
Xavier - this is 1st time in 20 years? Dawn comes to Japan with him for business. Nice occasion for catch-up.
In fact, more than them… business related people joined the dinner.
Actually, I am the one additionally joined the business occasion… to be precise.
At least, I still spoke English a lot even though I worried a little bit about it since didn't speak English too much for a while. Hahaha. Nothing to worry about that.

Nagasaki: Ready and Go

Nagasaki is next destination. Here I am… first time to spend "nights" in this city, though.
To be ready, I bought a new album… from iTunes store. Didn't plan to. Just happened to buy one for this trip.
It is Diana Krall music. Her brand new album just available in the middle of May.
Yeah, one of my favorite singers in the world! No way to miss it out.
I have to take a headset with me to this trip in order to make sure that I listen to the music all the time.
Diana Krall… I really thought that her career is nearly over since I do not see releases often anymore.
Well, this turns out to be a good surprise. Good spice to this business trip as well.
Richmond Hotel - same hotel chain as last trip which was to Fukuoka.
Very mediocre Japanese business hotel chain. Nothing special. Just right for space and price / cost.
See, it is very ordinary. Hahaha.
At Haneda Tokyo Airport, gate for Nagasaki flight is located at the other side to the one for Fukuoka.
So I got a chance to use different lounge this time. Well, it was large and very open.
Plus, not many travelers using such space then. Pretty good!
Rolex Explorer II is my company to this trip. I am sure that this watch brings good luck to the result of business.
Nagasaki Flight was completed as planned.
Well, not only the lounge… but also flight itself was quite open… few customers going to that place at least today!
Wish me luck on this Nagasaki job that I have to finish until Friday.

Fukuoka: One More Time

Another business trip is to begin today. For Fukuoka this time.
Well, how many times have I been on Fukuoka trip so far?
At least in this year, this is 3rd time.

Wow, almost every month I go to Fukuoka for business. Oh boy, I am busy! Hahaha.
1:30pm I catch an airport shuttle bus.
Late lunch at the airport. This fish bowl was pretty fresh and good.
Though, it was pricey. 2,000 yen.
Then flight.
Hotel room is pretty clean and cozy. No mistake in such selection this time. Hahaha.
Okay, I have to get ready for next 2 days now.

Now moving to Numazu for another trip.
Checked in to the hotel.
Dawn it… this choice was not right.
Next time, I should not choose this hotel because of the location. Room itself is not bad at all.
I found that there is a movie theater nearby…
If I got job done early… I may get a chance to see movie?

Went to Tokyo Dome for baseball game and then traveled down to Aichi for Monday job.
My Dragons were awful… lost the game badly!
Disappointment.
Down to Toyohashi.
Pretty decent hotel as per reputation.
Even has a lounge for guests.
Now I have to get ready for tomorrow.

Traveling to Sendai

Coming to Sendai once again. Have to finish a project progressing in this area for next two days.
It is COLD. Freezing!
I definitely followed the winter cold hitting this area for remaining time of this week.
MIssed a coffee at Starbucks in Tokyo Station… Caffeine was indeed necessary, then. Though, I couldn't wait in line for one since I had to get the train.
Too bad… and I fell to asleep in the train. Missed coffee again.
No more coffee today. Too bad.
Checked in to the hotel and no intenstion going out for supper since the weather was severe.
Rather, I would stay in the room…. keeping myself warm enough!
I stay in a hotel room like this. Typical Japanese business hotel… very small but very functional and yet cozy:

1st Working Day of Year!

Coming to the work for 2017! Finally, reality got kicked in… hahaha.
Yeah, showed up within the morning. I was not lazy at all! Just punctual as possible.
Good start of a new year should result positive thing… I hope. I should believe that.
Then held a meeting with a Partner and I was quite busy even on 1st working day. But it was all under control.
I happened to take a look my wrist watch for time and realized that it was almost 7pm.
I rushed into a train for Shinjuku since gathering with friends was planned.
Here we go… all friends who spent great school time together in US were there:
Fun time was fast… and we kept drinking until the last train for the day. Almost missed it! Hahaha.
Part of the gathering was that we check how newly-wed friend Kazuma doing with his wife so far.
Somehow, he was wearing two rings. Hmmm, interesting.
His wife also knows this. Very interesting.

Finally my car got washed… it was really about time!!!
I wanted to do so before New Year… however, I got quite procrastinated because I was absolutely LAZY.
Now getting back to work… 1st thing is first. I brought my car to the place with free water for car wash.
In the middle of Tokyo, car wash place is not outside. It is under ground like this. Amazing!
Though, I like this place so much because:
1. I do not have to mind about the sun light
2. Always open in 24-7
Not bad, huh. Not bad, really.
Pizza for supper. Yeah, am quite tired of all traditional Japanese foods cerebrating New Year.
Italian Pizza was a good choice for sure. At least tonight. Hahaha.
Tomorrow, I finally get back to work. I plan to show up in the office for one meeting.
After work, some new year gathering with friends is scheduled.
Well, I have to promise one thing to myself… that I keep my car clean all year around this year! Hahaha.
