One last gathering among friends before the end of 2020 -

Among colleagues who are quite close to each other like worked on the same projects, etc. - it was fun!






Even under the severe condition of Coronavirus, I guess that this is last gathering. No more parties.

Well, I didn't expect that this festivity would last long like up to 3am… oh boy! Hahaha.
Great time it was.

Friends and coworkers got together.
We used to work on the same project back in 2015-2016.
Good friends and good fellows.

Unfortunately, some cancellation and 5 showed up.
Though, it was good reunion.

During this week, 2 out of 4 projects are coming to an end.
Thank god!
2 more to go. Well, as per plan, at least 1 of them is to be completed.

Any thing new to start soon? Yep, it is coming.

Oh boy.

Party time?!
Almost year-end… that comes around the corner for sure.
It is time to share what happened this year with friends and close ones.

Among three of us who worked on same project, it is our custom to get together once a year.

Like previous year, we went to hotel afternoon tea for fun.

Our talk was endless and did last for three hours or so.
Surely was fun and value time among ourselves.

Late night outing?!
Lots of stress from the work… needed to shake it all off!!!



MoonFlower went to dinner with friends and, somehow, finished it up quite early.
She must need more drinks… so did I.



Went to a piano bar?!
Well, we did not mean to.
It happened to have live piano music tonight. Extra charge, though.

It was fine.
Well, it was surely fine with or even without such live music.

Well, I had more drinks than did MoonFlower. That was unusual.
I must have been more stressed out than she?
Maybe…

This "busiest week of 2020" is done with very unique experience.



I was in an audio studio for pretty much all day.
It is called MA or Multi-Audio and we started with narration recording by professional.
Still part of consulting project? Yes, it is!



Complicated equipment was very interesting.

Moreover, narration quality by professional was even "astonishing"
Tone and manner controlled very delicately. REALLY.

It was like a magic.

Same phrase done before and after show obvious difference. Definitely different impression.

I wish I could control myself just like that…

This unique experience is surely essence for me to intend to be competent speech master! Hahaha.

Long week is now finished. Tons of work is put behind for whole this week. Thus, I have to work on those over coming weekend.
However, I will focus on taking things easy… to make sure that I do wind myself down.

Friends' gathering took place in this afternoon.
Friends are coworkers from past project. Actually, we all did the project together last year. Just around this time of year.

Takoyaki or octopus dumplings are the main theme of our party!



Here it is.

Seven of us got together and spent time about more than several hours.
Over takoyaki and other dishes along with PLENTY of alcohols.
Well, I took sparkling and champagne led myself out of memory… being drunk a bit?!

Talked a lot… nothing maybe important.
All fun topics and nothing serious.
Plus some rumors?! Let's see.

Will be swamped for this week and this gathering is certainly energizer for me thanks to friends!

Weekend just started. Though, things are quite unusual like everywhere else.
Governor of Tokyo repeatedly emphasized that we should stay home over weekend.
Thus, decided to join MoonFlower for spending time in this weekend outside Tokyo.

Yes, escaping from Tokyo it is.

I had to bring MoonFlower's stuff for living. So that was actually the main task.

Quite unusual, huh. It is.

Even brought old Apple TV to MF's place and installed.
Well, she has no extra channels on TV and at least Apple TV can hook to Hulu.
That should be some relief to MF for her entertainment.



Additionally, MoonFlower is planning to get food delivery for supper today.
That was actually great surprise and perfect to such environment.
One of favorite restaurants of ours now does catering service.

Restaurant called "CLOUD NINE" brought food home around 3pm. Since then, our festivity lasted throughout the day!







Perfect stuff and we all were full with great food and wine.
Wine is not included. Somehow, we had good wine in stock there. Why? Not sure… but good surprise for sure.

On top, the cost is covered by MoonFlower. I cannot complain whatsoever. You know what I mean!!!

Great dinner and good relief from Coronavirus condition.

Quiet weekend is coming to Tokyo!!!
Will see how it works for us… well, lots say that it is darn too late.
This effort for this weekend is going to show in two weeks or so.

How things from previous extended weekend would affect? That is scary part and that result is coming up next week or so.

Happened to drive through Ginza area at night and here is view for you.
There were still lots of people going home after work.
Some of them are still going out for drinks and eat? Hmm.

Another boring day.
I need some pressure or given deadline.
Otherwise, I won't be much productive.

Today's work was quite flat.
Several meetings in the late afternoon.
A few phone calls including one from my ex-boss. I received an interesting request from him.

Just saw the news on TV telling that Tokyo is now top place with most of coronavirus infections in Japan.
Hokkaido and Nagoya were leading cities up to now. However, Tokyo took that place with today's result.
Within short period of time, Tokyo is going to be locked down like other major cities? Maybe.

MoonFlower started talking about escaping such situation so that she can continuously work without being interrupted.

That might be a good idea… will see.
I may even follow her and she and I live in her old house… will see.

Now Tokyo Olympic Games 2020 confirmed postponed till 2021.
We all should focus on coronavirus… the most.
Will work from home tomorrow again. I will pay more attention to local news.
