One last dinner at home - last in this month for sure!

This was fantastic bottle!
Very mild taste it was.
Full of foods… finished with roast pork. Good stuff. GREAT!

Received an envelop which was international airmail.
It was a card like that!
From ex-client when I was consultant at previous company. Nice! Thank you!
"Me? Missed You?" on the surface,
"Only all the times." inside.
Funny. Liked it.
Haven't received any card like that for a long time.
In Japan, sending and receiving cards are not common practice… much.
In fact, it was a substitute new year greeting card.
Ex-client put her handwriting saying like
"Any chance coming over (to California where she lives for work)?"
"Love to see you and I like you to bring something from Japan for me"
Even more funnier. Hahaha.
Dinner was ready!
It was healthy udon bowl with salad.
Somehow MoonFlower didn't like salad dressing that was on the top.
She has more sensitive tongue than do I. Hahaha. True, though.
It was a card like that!

Actually, I asked MoonFlower to pick it up if she finds in the supar market.

Let me put it in this way… Japanese horse raddish.
Yeah, some kind of spicy stuff - perfect company to rice! (at least to me)
In Japanese, called "wasabi zuke."
main dish for supper is this. Another Japanese dish.
Daikon & Ganmodoki.
Important point is no meat. Hehehe.
Yeah, I really have to watch what to eat.
Now I am quite keen to the calories intaking about every food putting in my mouse at any given meal.
Seriously.
One paper AD caught my eye tonight.
Came from Yodobashi Camera - my "usual" electronic super store.
Now, Canon EOS 6D is on sale at reduced price!!!
Already! Yeah… just came out at the end of last November.
In this trend, I can see farther discount in next several months?
I would love to see that happens!!! Then, I can give myself (MoonFlower can give me?) a green light.
This is certainly good news.
Cannot wait.
So another weekend is ahead!!!

Long drinking night has come!!!
New Year's Party… sort of. Hahaha.
Yes, it really was.
A party among two friends of mine and I… three in total.
Never ever tried "Murphy's" beer.
Was pretty okay.
Still I prefer Guiness to this brand. Hahaha.
There was "happy hour" lasting until 7pm.
Ordered this side dish for snack.
Actually, it was good enough for my supper.
Though, I had to eat and drink even more afterwards.
Meaning, fattening!
At 8:30pm, we went in to the second place.
Japanese modern? Nice interior.
Hoegaarden!!!
Since Bangkok era… first time to drink this!
They had ODEN menu.
Of course, I passed. Hehehe.
Yeah, just ate those a couple days ago! At home!
Huge beer server.
Were like one at Thunderbird Pub! Hehehe.
Anyhow, it quickly reached midnight. Rushed into train to go home.
Indeed fun time really flies. It just did.

Totally confidential! Hahaha.
Of course, work-related… sort of.
Surely was precious time with friends spending time over dinner.
I should come to such opportunity more often. As often as I can.

Big Snow Day in Tokyo! (Rare)
What a day!!!
Here in Tokyo, rare to see snow… yeah, snow flurries.
Today, totally exception.
You see TONS OF SNOW fallen!!!
This was the scene around 11am.
After that, snow lasted all day.
Lots of snow. Accumulated 10cm or 5 inches. NO KIDDING!
Thank God, it was National Holiday - Adult Day celebrating those who turn 20 years old.
Thus, no major traffic nightmare. I bet there were some…
Of course, I decided to stay warm home! Good idea.
Kept watching video from lots of special TV programs during the New Year.
Took MoonFlower and me a while to finish watching.
While doing so, idea came up… opening a bottle of wine. Hehehe.
MoonFlower started preparation of Japanese dish called ODEN since this morning.
Tons of good stuff from ODEN made the dinner table very nice!
And I easily get drunk out of that. Hahaha.
Not only ODEN dishes… but also…
DESSERT! Made by MoonFlower. I am big fan of her home-made sweets.

Middle day of three-day extended weekend… decided to go out today…
Didn't have any particular purpose. Though, MoonFlower and I ended up in Nakano.
Nakano is located the other side of Tokyo. Took us about whole hour to get there.
On the way to Nakano Broadway - shopping mall complex.
Tons of people walking by in the arcade. Typical Nakano.
"Maid Cafe" ad found… not rare in this area.
Lots of interesting place like restaurants and shops.
You can find so many "unusual" stuff on the showcase. Hehehe.
This is TV drama script for sale. What kind of people would come out to buy those??? Hahaha.
It was fun "window shopping" for sure.
I do come out like once every half year or so. Fun to watch and check things out.
Sure, it was another fun day today.
Then, we both went down to usual restaurant for supper.

Here are the writings of the collection - my fountain pens!!!
One on the top is with new Delta pen recently purchased.
Pretty darn cool, huh!
Italic style with sky blue ink. LOVE IT.
All words in Japanese - different color by different pen - say "Website Ogakijin."
So awkward to write same words / phrase repeatedly…
and turned out they looked similar, not absolutely same. Hahaha. What a mess!

Finally arrived. From US.
It is my Christmas present for myself…
Took a while… since having placed an order. Hahaha.
That was okay for me… totally. It is because I asked a friend to customize the nib. Hehehe.
Delta fountain pen from Italy. Called "Dolce Vita."
I do not know why usually the package is oversized… for any prestigious fountain pen.
Here it is! Enormously big, right?
Darn right!!! Wanted to have a big pen like that.
I knew all about it before placing order fro sure.
Nib is customized as specifically instructed by… ME!
See it is big pen… compared with other biggies like Montblanc MS 146 (middle) and Churchill (left).
I bet that those three are the biggest category in my fountain pen collection.
How many do I have then???
Let me see… going over the list.
Now I have 11 fountain pens. Yeah, 11 of them.
Too many? Hahaha.

Went out to place quite far from where I live.
It was Kichijoji. West (the other) side of Tokyo.
Didn't lose myself on the way to get there… I wasn't too sure, though.
"Tom's Kitchen."
Friend Amy's favorite and usual Italian restaurant.
Very fancy place it was!
Kichijoji is the best place that people want to live as dream.
Good place calls fancy restaurants for sure. Just like that.
Pricing was quite reasonable as well. Very nice, indeed!!!
Good gathering tonight. Among great 4 friends of ourselves.

I guess, the wallet of mine… the zipper is broken… now making ME broke!!!
Went out to Omotesando area for shopping with MoonFlower.
Usual shop where we both go… Brand called "Tsumori Chisato."
It carries very small quantity for men's… but I was lucky today.
Yet, 1st day of New Year Sale today.
Big coat for me!
Very cute color and design around the wrists.
Pants. Other pants I have were almost all worn out… so need one. Hahaha.
Extra - this is what MoonFlower bought for herself. Very girly skirts. Hahaha.
No more heavy food celebrating New Year!

A Happy New Year 2013!!!
It is SNAKE year this time.
MoonFlower and I took bullet train bound for Nagoya.
Yes, going back to Ogaki!!!
Yeah visiting my parents for new year's greeting. Will spend a night there with them as usual.

Back in my home town Ogaki now.
Typical dinner on New Year's Day - SUKIYAKI or Japanese beef dish.
Too much good stuff.
