Festivity in the Room
It was long day for me.
Yes, I worked today… Thailand has no Golden Week… too bad!!! Hahaha.
Plus, it was quite important day because of important meetings took place.
I spoke too much in the meeting today.
Plus, I was quite frustrated and upset. Yes, I admit it.
I probably spoke more than needed to.
I regret a bit.
My anger stole quite of energy for sure.
Thai teacher made a remark in today's lesson that I seemed to be quite tired.
That was true!!!
Joined the team dinner at the apartment of one of the members tonight.
I finished the Thai lesson and ate alone… then joined. Quite late… 9pm or 9:30pm.
Though, that team gathering didn't conclude early… rather continued on and on.
Some serious talk mixed with fun topics… lots of smiles and laughs.
Thus, we started beer and more on whiskey afterwards. Hahaha.
Quite festivity among team members! Good team building, too!!!
I've never said that this would last long like 2:30am or so. I've never said it. Hehehe.

Watched "Battleship"
Finally, I came to a chance to see this movie.
I know I didn't want to miss this one.
"Battleship"
Lots of CGs…
The story was quite easy entertainment with some laughs.
You could tell about the whole story by watching first 30-40 minutes.
However, action scenes (combat scenes) are quire impressive. Worth to watch for fun.
Just a question regarding to the setting of alien.
Hahaha.
I didn't know that there was a famous Japanese actor was in the movie.
It was Tadanobu Asano.
He did the important role - having a partnership (rivalry?) to the main character.
Tadanobu spoke quite good English, too.
Though, I still question if he comes to a big success in Hollywood like Ken Watanabe.
Biggest difference is not of language issue. It is matter of the appearance. Looks.
Tadanobu's face is very plain. With bunch of Asian extra - he easily mingles with them… not coming to the surface vividly.
That is why I am thinking that it would be hard for him to make a fortune in US. Hehehe.
This movie is intended for American audience only. Hahaha.
Navy needs to recruit more people… that is why.
One Navy can save the whole world! Hahaha.
While GW continues in Japan, I should get back to work tomorrow.
Pity on me!!!
Oh bought a Smart Cover for my new iPad… will share that story tomorrow or so.
Stay tuned.

iPad Setting Completed. Ready for Use
28, 04 12, 20:18 Category Travel
Japan now goes into GOLDEN WEEK, the big holiday week… till May 5th. Nice!
Too bad that I am on Thai calendar. No change in my life.
Meaning, today - just ordinary Saturday. Hahaha.
Poor me!
Woke up around 8am. Amazing enough because my clock set off at 8:30am.
I even went bed around 2am last night.
Being gadget lover really gives something to my instinct… that was why woke up earlier. Hahaha.
Dry clueing stuff is gone.
Washed my clothes.
Transferred lots of photos and other data to my new iPad…
Then, took it with me to Rain Hill.
Very close to where I live…
Needed to have something to eat in addition to playing with iPad.
au bon pain is my usual destination for Saturday lunch or coffee.
2nd visit to this particular au bon pain, though. Hahaha.
If you cannot locate me in apartment over weekend, should check this place to see if I am there.
Probability is quite high, I guess. Hahaha.
Spent two hours or so with iPad there.
Finally set-up is completed and ready for my usual daily use. Great!
Impression on the Retina display is not much, though. Don't know why.
Probably I should take pictures much much higher resolution to take advantage of beautiful screen.
Anyway, this is GREAT!

iPad on Sale in Thailand Today!
Finally it is today!
It's not ordinary Friday for Thai people… and yet applicable to myself.
Apple's new iPad (aka 3rd Generation) gets on sale from today!
One of belated Asian nations selling iPad. Hahaha.
I, immediately after work today, went out to MBK. Famous electronic shopping mall in Bangkok.
Straight into Apple Authorized Dealer.
The answer was no. "Not received for today. In 3 days."
Yes, this is Thailand. No surprise for such incident. Minor stuff.
I won't easily give up on that… so went to next candidate.
iStudio - the Thai's biggest Apple deal in the country.
iStudio at Siam Center… not too far from MBK.
Yes, they had it.
64GIG 4G WHITE was my choice.
Actually, my coworker "requested" (translated as "forced") me to buy one more for him.
Thus, I ended up getting two at a time.
Of course, VAT refund document was completed. Don't leave Thailand without it!
Perfect replacement to current iPad (original) 64GIG 3G!
Finally.
Retina display is a big change in specification. Though, to me, the camera-equipped is another major difference.
After getting the iPad, I had to return to the team for not work but fun.
Team dinner took place nearby the project site.
So drink tonight… not opening the iPad box. Hahaha.

Thai Lesson - How Far to Plan to Go?
Hi folks!
I finally spent some time on Facebook, sending thank you to those sent me the BD messages.
I received more than 50 messages! Wao, thank you!
Wow,
Uniqlo is now coming to Mega Bangna… new mall to be open on May 5th.
Where is it by the way??? Hahaha
No more expensive Starbuck??? Yesterday and today, I started stopping by the new cafe nearby the project site.
Asian interior - the cafe
Will I even come to be able to read even headline of the newspaper???
Tough question to answer… since I have no clue.
Wait. Today's lesson (3rd time in this week), aacan Si (Teacher whose name is Si) gave me the table of Thai script.
Meaning, I will start learning the Thai writing in addition to current alphabetical expression?
Oh, that can bring me to another phase. Can be interesting (naa son jai)
Another shot from the scene that I go through everyday from project site to Ekkamai Station.
Cannot read them except figures.
I know I should hold on to 50 baht bill so that things can be taken care of.
Though, I should be able to read those handwriting!!!
Will see if I ever come to that phase or not.

My 39th Birthday
What's up, folks!
It is my birthday… yes it was my 39th.
Wait. Am I truly 39 years old now?
I feel like I turned around toward becoming younger!
Let's say, I were about 35 years old! (big difference?)
I received so many HBD messages from different media including mixi, Facebook, and other social network.
Of course, direct emails and special phone calls… I thank you for that. Truly.
I am quite delighted!
Yesterday, I shared with you the story about some surprise the client threw for me.
Today another story here.
I came to a big cake again! This time, sweet cake! (khanonkheek)
I feel like I were a kid because this kind of celebration never took plea for a long time!!!
You know what I mean. Whole cake, candles, and blow on my own!
The party took place at "Soi 8" Irish Bar.
It was my first visit even though rest of project members have been there more than several times!
Hmm, why not me… until today??? Hahaha
Shiro~ Thanks for neat party, bro.
"Irish" Pub still serves Thai food. Interesting (nan khao jai)
Big cake, huh!
Lastly, we played the pool.
First time in long time for me. Since Thunderbird???
I did play it okay. Everyone won once and break even among three of us.
Peace.
Last even for the night was the massage.
Body oil massage in Phrom Phom.
I have been to foot massage once in February or March… none other than that.
Kind of hesitation to the oil and entire body to be massaged.
It was not bad at all.
Though, I felt a bit awkward about the fact that I had to be naked… entirely. Oops.
hahaha (555 in Thai numeric expression)
Oh, one more thing… I cannot forget about it.
BD present from MoonFlower. It was a bangle. Cool huh!
Remember that blue is best fitting color to me? Yeah, perfect fit, huh.
Anyway, happy 39th birthday for myself! Hehehe.
Good night!
Oops, I'd better call my mother… who has the birthday same as mine… TODAY!
Happy birthday, Mom!
It is my birthday… yes it was my 39th.

Another 366 Days to Go
Hi folks. I have another 366 days to go… in order for me to turn to be Big 4.
Oops, that joke has been used already. My bad!!!
Anyhow, it was my last day as being 38 years old…
Yes, I am becoming oldER. Leave me alone.
I get more grey hair and come to short memory… That's okay.
SPONTANEOUS!
Today it was quite consultant-like day.
Meetings and some "quiet" hours for thinking. Another deliverable template has been come up.
Good deal.
As one day before my birthday, I came to some surprises.
I was called upon to be one on one with some client.
The secretary came to our project room and I was told to come with her ALONE.
I had to sit in the middle of nowhere… totally intimidated by surrounding.
"Happy Birthday---" song sung by IT Team.
Gosh… what a surprise! It was quite scary. Hahaha. I truly held my note pad with pen for serious meeting.
Yes, you all really got me!
Plus, they brought a nice ice cream cake.
Another one.
Had another Thai lesson tonight. Yes, 2 nights in a row.
After the session, my Thai teacher Si gave me a card and some gift. It was a nice wallet.
Cool!
Wait. Was I ever been popular or treated that well before? In Japan? In US?
Probably (must be?) Thailand is now my most favorite place of all??? Hehehe.
Good stuff. I really appreciate.
No Thai class tomorrow after work.
I should plan something for myself??? Maybe...
On the way to new apartment… new place.
I have to call it new even though the facility itself is not quite new. Hahaha
So ironic.
Anyhow, took the picture of premise. Can you see it well?
Probably not.
Anyhow, good night and see ya tomorrow!

Thai Lesson Resumed
Hi folks. Another 367 days to go for me to be BIG 4.
Wait. Let's not talk about that far future. Too much uncertainty! Hehehe.
Today started working at 7am due to conference call to Japan.
Though, turned out to be all in vain. Unfortunately.
Of course, I wasn't happy about it.
It was not my fault, though.
Late morning, I showed up to the office and started working on project and other stuff.
No major meetings scheduled today. Thus, it was quite calm for me.
Though, time still flies fast.
At 6:30pm it was time for me to resume Thai lessons.
Yes, from today!
Though, as you can imagine, I forgot it all!!! I didn't study Thai at all while was in Japan.
Yes, my fault about that. Hehehe.
I even open the Chapter 14 when my teacher told me to go to Chapter 20.
14 = sipsii
20 = yiisip
See, I cannot even recognize the numbers… this was the true proof that I totally forgot!
The fault is mine… yes, I admit it.
After the lesson, I came straight home.
I wanted to eat some instant food home tonight.
Well, it was quite in vain… thinking about that plan.
Tons of ants were found around the kitchen. Oh boy!
My appetite disappeared instantly for sure.
Only ate small bread with water. That was enough for tonight.
I will definitely request the pest control tomorrow.
No one really likes termites for sure.
Bad dream… being seen today. No more. Done!
This was the side effect that I moved from new place to old one…
Hope tomorrow the day becomes much brighter.
Wish me luck!
Wan nii khun pen yangai baang?

Move-in Now Completed
How's it going? Hope everything is okay and each of you spent nice weekend.
Oops, US hasn't even finished the weekend, huh.
Anyhow.
1st night spent at new apartment. Was okay. Not much occurrence. Hehehe.
All boxes are finally unpacked.
Not perfectly organized. Though, things are handy around me now.
Good enough!
Late afternoon, I went outside. Under very hot weather.
Now I have to walk this road every morning for work and study…
I have to get sweat so much while walking because of the location of the apartment.
Not so close to any BTS station.
Oh boy… this is very discouraging… indeed.
Went to nearby shopping mall called Emporium. First visit. Very luxurious place. Everything was expensive.
Went in to the Cartier shop for asking of the leather band for my watch.
No stock in Thailand.
"Please buy when visiting either Singapore or Hong Kong."
I was literally told that by shop clerk. Really? Really!
Interesting way of doing the businesses here.
SIngapore or Hong Kong… they are another countries!
Probably for Thai people, it is common to say so??? That easy to get those places??? Hmmm.
Okay, adjourned!
See you tomorrow, folks!

Moving to Another Site still in Bangkok
21, 04 12, 20:31 Category Travel
The first run from old place to new place was at 10:30am!
Good thing was that I just needed 2 runs to move everything from the old apartment.
Actually had 4 boxes filled.
Living room empty.
Nothing in the bed room for sure.
Kitchen… I didn't use much.
Now need to unpack them all!!! I will slow down here.
Probably I unpack box as needed. Hehehe. Smart?
How do I like new place? Well, it is okay so far.
First of all, it was NOT my decision to move in to this place.
Not even my pick!!!

Better Control the Budget
Today's agenda… worked in the office, not the project site yet.
Project is to resume from next week. Therefore, project members got together in the office for internal meeting.
Yeah, we had to organize the idea and action plans for coming to consent among ourselves.
Productive? It was okay, i guess. Hehehe.
Today the 20th of month - pay day! Yes, money is now wire transferred to my bank account.
Then, I have to withdraw some (lots of) money for home loan payment.
Plus, MoonFlower's allowance, mine… on top of base household spending for foods, etc.
Wait.
Still expediter is the same while I am away from the country?
The answer is yes. Unfortunately. Very unfortunately.
You know, living outside the country doesn't come easy.
In a matter of fact, my living cost is much more than expected originally.
Then, my monthly allowance doesn't come to cover everything needed in Bangkok.
It is mainly because of weekend's spending like golf and social gathering (e.g. drinking).
Thus, no more golfing for a while!
I will have better control about the budget.
Will see how it goes.
After work, we had an extra inning! Meeting? Sort of… but not quite!
It was a BBQ place.
How come Shiro was in the picture? I just wanted to show how big the menu was. Hehehe.
Maybe he knew that I was taking (stupid) picture. Hahaha.
Place was called Roadhouse BBQ.
It was my 1st visit. It was pretty good and it was really American pub stuff.
It was good reminder. Hahaha.
Some beer along with buffalo chickens!
Yeah usual stuff. It was pretty good!
I definitely look for another chance going to such place.
Late night after that mini festivity… had to pack my stuff.
Tomorrow, moving to another place. Still in Bangkok.
At least, I put the all clothes in the shrink bag.
I'd better get up early to be ready for move.

Visit to Thai-Nichi Institute of Technology
Hi folks!
Main project in Bangkok will be officially resumed from coming Monday.
Today, I visited the university in Bangkok along with coworkers.
Thai-Nichi Institute of Technology.
Fairly new university founded for educating Japanese way of businesses to Thai youngsters.
Now, our firm opens a class "Japanese Business Consulting."
This is given by Shinzo Abe - Japan's Prime Minister in the past.
Meaning that this institute is well recognized by my country???
31 students are currently enrolling in the class.
Today - 1st session is for orientation, introduction of instructors and team assignment, etc.
Thai students were seemed quite shy. More than Japanese…
I give my presentation for 15 minutes or so.
Including introduction of myself and things I found in Thailand - different from what I know of my country.
All conducted in English. Maybe (surely?) I spoke TOO FAST.
It is my next mission that I speak as slow as possible… tough to do!
Anyhow, my "Presentation / Writing" class is scheduled in 2 weeks.
Until then, I have to develop the content of the class… and create class material… on top of usual project work.
Oh boy…
Wish me luck!

Back in Bangkok

Hi from Bangkok, Thailand!!!
Yes, another time… This is Season 4 for me to be in BKK. You know what I mean.
In this year - 2012 alone, I have come to this place 4 times, already. How many times more then???
Flight is by TG - Thai Airways at noon today.
Arrived at Narita International Airport around 9am. Too early.
Killed time at cafe with coffee and cake. Hehehe.
Flight was full… packed!
Wish I could upgrade it to the business… all in vain. Too bad.
At least, the aircraft was fairly new… with in-seat monitor. Cool.
This is a "must" for me to take any flight to anywhere.
Seriously.
"The Iron Lady"
"The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo"
"The Double"
Could see those three movies.
I probably see "J. Edgar" next on returning flight.
Wait. When to be back in Japan???
In 30 days to be precise.
Flight back to Japan on May 17th. Indeed.
Selected "chicken" dish. Seems Japanese food-like. Not that bad.
Had this with 2 glasses of white wine.
Tired. Almost-7-hour-flight makes me tired, surely.
And I have to get up early tomorrow morning to make the event at university…
I have to leave the apartment around 7am. Oh boy!
See you tomorrow.
I probably get lots to tell you about the academic institution.

OK - all scheduled events in Japan are now complete.
Time for me to get back to Bangkok for serious work!
Not only of the project that I have been participating but also of university lecture.
Boy, I am getting busier and busier. Is that good sign?
Does this surely link to my pay check?
Hmmm, I don't think it really does…
Anyhow, time to get back and packing is now completed.
I am ready.
Yes, I am taking two laptops, iPad, 3 cellular phones… any problem?
See you over there!

What's up, folks!
Now the clock is really ticking… my time to "stay" in Tokyo is limited and actually it's around the corner.
Time for me to say good-bye to friends and family… very soon.
Day after tomorrow, I hit the road back to Bangkok once again.
This time is just like last time. Expected to stay there for 30 days and I will return to Japan in the 2nd half of next month.
Busy schedule, huh? True.
Cannot complain! Am on pay roll. This is important… keep our lives GOING!
I showed up to the office for one meeting. That was somehow not properly scheduled.
Then, I came to find out that it was re-scheduled for tomorrow. Oh boy.
Instead, I had casual meeting with different executive about totally different topic.
You know what? Guess what I found myself into…
In 2 weeks, I have to become a lecturer to Thai university students.
On what? Good question. My class is of "Presentation" or "Public Speech."
Is that my favorite or speciality? Am not quite sure about that.
Though, I am already appointed to. I have no other choice… Like Nike - JUST DO IT.
Hahaha.
Surely, I will do my best!
I can tell lots of things from my experience about giving the presentation in English… I bet that it would somewhat help students who are indeed prospects for business persons.
Only the concern is that I have to do the project and, at the same time, have to prepare the class.
Well, hope that this is well worth it.
Don't you think this is great and yet interesting opportunity?
At least I can add totally new line of totally new thing in my resume. Hahaha.
Wish me luck!

Color Coodination
Sunday is now over!!! Ready for new week, folks???
It was fun and exciting Sunday for me.
Really.
As usual… right before my departure for biz trip to Bangkok (or anywhere), I requested MoonFlower to fix my favorite French toast. It was good as always and I ate… too much!
Then in the afternoon, MoonFlower and I got two guests coming over to our home.
They are color coordinators. Yes, professional.
I asked for service analyzing what color is best fit to myself.
The analysis lasted about 1 hour and half.
These are best colors for my skin. I should coordinate clothes based upon those choices.
Cool.
Particularly, on left hand side in the picture.
You know, the choices that I usually make for clothes… are quite similar or same to those.
For example, my favorite color is purple… light purple.
Thus, I had made right choices for my fashion coordination.
Nice, huh.
I felt like I am now approved and guaranteed by such professionals. Hehehe.
It was surely worth to get such service. Recommended.
After that session, MoonFlower and I finally went out for shoping to Omotesando.
She wanted to buy a new bag replacing the one which was discarded upon being worn out.
"Felisi" and "Gucci" brand were checked out.
She found one she liked… though, she hesitated to say yes on that due to over budget. Hahaha.
Good thinking!!!
Anyhow, she will reconsider what other alternative she may have for making final decision.
Had late afternoon tea at Cafe Madu. We hadn't been there for quite long time. No change in that place, though.
Then we stopped by at Kinshicho. Same place as last night.
Since my birthday is around the corner, MoonFlower bought me some accessory.
Will tell you more about it tomorrow.
Dinner was at Italian restaurant… "Ken's Kitchen."
Not too far from our home… though, 1st visit.
Reasonably priced. Perfect place for dinner tonight.
MoonFlower liked it so much. So did I.
Particularly, pasta was outstanding.
Will be back for sure.
See, as I said, it was fun and productive today. A plus plus!

Korean BBQ!!!
14, 04 12, 20:25 Category Food
Tonight supper turned out to be big dinner.
Yeah, MoonFlower and I went out to Kinshicho for big BBQ dining.
It was Korean BBQ… our favorite.
Didn't I tell you that I would like to eat either Sushi or Korean BBQ upon returning from Thailand.
Sure, here it is.
Variety of beef… made both of us smile and busy eating!
MoonFlower was good at the management of the grill. That's man's job, usually… Hahaha.
It was her job!
Lots of food… along with some alcohol.
Beer and Korean Makgeolli. Good enough.
I bet that we will go another BBQ dining upon returning next time… end of May.
Am I sure? Yes!!!
No doubt that MoonFlower cannot resist it… TOO MUCH.

Missile launched - so broadcasted on radio this morning.
It was about 7:40am.
Friday the 13th… I bet that leader of North Korea had that cross his mind. Hahaha.
Anyhow, the government of Japan didn't react or report it to the nation in timely manner.
Therefore, there are lots of criticisms going all over the media for now.
Wait. It won't take even 5 mins from launch to hit any part of Japan's soil…
Our government cannot afford any minute to decide whether if should tell the nation immediately or not.
That kind of time for judgement never allow any nation to evacuate or run away from wherever we are.
Criticism should aim the system for alert itself rather than government reacted quick enough.
5 minutes never allow more than several people to consider for next action. No way, Jose!
Today, had appointment with my usual place for haircut.
It was 1st time in this year to get a perm!
Style asked for was the same… and turned out pretty good as always.
When getting served, stylist and I had lots to talk about. Includes the compensation at that hair salon.
He was on commission. Salon's computer system has lots of KPIs (key performance indicators) and that result relates his month commission. Usual? Sure. Though, I wanted to know more about how the KPI is utilized.
Assume - if he has fewer repeating customers appointing him for haircut.
The root cause can be various from:
-His service (including socialization)
-His technic
-Cost
-Emerging alternative (other than going to get haircut)
-New competitor
The root cause cannot be on his fault. Then he can be penalized? Hmm.
He added, "Even under that kind of (compensation) system, variable portion is quite marginal."
Told me that difference on commission month to month doesn't even reach at 10,000 yen (88 dollars).
Now I see.
That kind of KPI-base compensation is not of the huge leverage for improvement. Though, employee' and the salon's performance are tied somehow so that each employee can pay more attention to the salon's revenue performance more and more.
Yeah, I now get that.. how things are working there.
Maybe I thought it in more complicated way? Hahaha.
It is my birth month… so I got free coupon for head massage and hair wax. Oh thanks!
Now going into last weekend before going back to Bangkok.
Oh it is a big FESTIVITY in Thailand… HAPPY SONG KRAN!!!
Now water speeding all over the place, huh!!!
You need water gun if not yet.

Miscellaneous Thought: Blog, Evernote, and Watch
How's it going, folks?
My vacation week is still going.
I was quite lazy once again and I didn't even go out at all. Not even single step outside the home!!!
Perfect for me.
You know, I am kind of person never mind being home alone, just watching TV or surfing the Net.
If you know me in person, I am sure that you cannot disagree. Hehehe.
I spent quite quality time by myself.
Only regret was that I didn't study Thai language much. Very little.
Anyhow, I spent quite time for organizing this website data.
I still have lots to go to reorganize the data for sure.
Though at least, I keep going… until whenever finishing it all.
Next project note organization.
From the project in Bangkok, I saved up about 70-80 pages of note.
Now time to sort them out.
I usually take notes on the note pad such as "Rhodia" (from France).
I make sure that each page I make a mark for the sequence on the top (otherwise, I may lose the track once detached?)
Then, scan them… into digital data.
After this, quite easy and convenient.
All scanned notes are sorted out in the Evernote.
Dates and name of the meeting, etc. Of course, whom I had meeting with.
Once it's done, no more hassle like bringing many notes with you.
Always instant access to the notes from iPhone, iPad, Mac or Windows.
I can keep all notes indefinitely and no limit of number of notes!
Recommended!
At night, I checked more than several websites for wrist watches.
You know, it is about my crazy hobby… watches.
I found that some brand I usually don't take a look was quite interesting.
It is ZENITH watch.
Reasonably priced… notably, beautiful see-through back (rear).
Gosh… so cool.
Compared to other brand… such as IWC, price against value was quite high.
Some Zenith models are quite reasonable, too.
Hmm, I'd better go to shop to check them out!
Of course for the purchase, I have to discuss it with MoonFlower for her consent.
Yes, I do need that. Otherwise, chaos… you know what I mean.
I like peach more than anything. (BANG!)

Energy Insufficient
11, 04 12, 20:59
Weather forecast told us that it was going to rain… rain very hard.
Thus, I bought my own umbrella with me to work.
Yeah, had to go to work today… to another office in Tokyo… unusual for me.
It was simply because I, as the counselor in the firm, had a meeting scheduled to meet one consultant.
Otherwise, I wouldn't have to show up in the office like that.
You know, whole this week is my spare time… leave-me-alone time. Hahaha.
Well, good thing happened to me.
On the way and back… didn't rain much at all.
I was quite prepared… but in vain. Hehehe.
1st time to work since coming back from Bangkok… I wasn't quite ready to work yet.
I didn't have enough energy to discuss whatever necessary in that meeting.
I felt tired already right after 5-10 minutes in that meeting.
Not quite sure to last 60 minutes then.
So I took another strategy to manage that meeting.
I let the person I faced talk as much as answering to my questions.
That allowed me to last the entire meeting.
Seriously?
Seriously. Hehehe. Don't tell anyone.
Oh tomorrow, I'd better resume Thai language study. Somehow, I lost (?) motives once came back to Japan.
Whose fault?
It is ALL mine.
Anyhow, good thing… some coworkers found me in the office and came to me for greeting.
Very delighted to greet with them. Very nice of y'all!
Plus, I was still recognized by them as well. Hahaha.

WHat's up, folks?
Things are stable and calm for me… so I have been quite relaxed. You can say, I am just lazy out here.
Only thing I did for today is just check-up at my usual dentist.
Entire inside of my mouth was X-rayed today to make sure there is nothing wrong in my teeth.
Good thing was that my dentist confirmed with me that there was no cavity or other issue.
Great!
I often come to the dentist for cleaning and check-up. Like every 4-6 months. Not enough?
Since I found a good dentist nearby my house… it is not much hassle for me to go.
One accomplishment for the day… is:
My last MacBook - bought back in August 2006 - time I was at Thunderbird for MBA - is now back with new hard drive!
500 GIG hard drive made this revive.
Surely, MacOS X is now installed. Seems everything is okay.
My new (?) machine? Of course not. This is going to be MoonFlower's dedicated machine.
She has none for herself and we have shared my MacBook Pro with multiple user setting.
Good thing for us to have own machine… now we can take advantage of video chat such as Face Time.
Between Bangkok and Tokyo - we can talk to each other anytime we (she?) want. Hahaha.
You know, we usually don't call up each other much while being away from each other like that.
Maybe the technology will unite us…
My (most!) favorite actress Manami Higa (right) now appears in new "Hancho" series (season 5).
I hadn't watched this drama at all, not even interested.
Now different ball game here. Since she is in the story, I will follow.
It looks like very popular… season 5? Gosh. No wonder that so many famous people are in the story.
Finally, topic on supper. It was MoonFlower's idea to open a bottle of wine tonight. Unusual.
Since I am home and she came back home early… we could do this:
French bottle - 2008.
Very good one! Perfect with tonight's cheese.
Then finally…coming to the entree --- GUMBO!
This is MF's home-made GUMBO. One of favorites for me - MF fixes.
Yum yum!!!
It was awesome supper between MoonFlower and I. Thank you, darling!

Today, nothing has really been accomplished. Yes, I admit that I was quite lazy.
Well, I worked on lots of personal data… particularly, this website's past blog…
This website being around over 10 years… since 1998.
Sorry for English readers… the past blog for English is now only up to sometime in 2009.
I promise that I will put all back online… in future!
While, Japanese past blog is now available back to year 2006 - the time I was at Thunderbird School of Global Management.
I am trying to put back all data online…like I said, for record.
It will take so much time to do that. It takes lots of MY patience as well. Hahaha.
Just bear with me, will ya!
Bought this last Sunday… when MoonFlower and I went to Marui department store.
Originally, wanted to buy a jacket for myself.
Turned out to be stoles. Fashion stoles.
Already worn yesterday:
How do I look? Hahaha.
Italian leather by Il Bisonte.
This is a bungle.
Since having started wearing watch on right wrist, put this bungle on left.
New fashion for me. Hahaha.
I bought this via online while being in Bangkok.
The color is natural. I should chose different color when picking another up… Probably red or green?

08, 04 12, 20:42 Category Friends
Really coming true!!!
My friend for a long time… Marashida finally got married today!
Congratulations!
It was first time for me to meet his darling wife.
Beautiful wedding cake.
They are smiling to each other…
Many friend of mine came to join me to celebrate.
(L-R) Akiyoshi, Ryuji, Tetsu, Marashida, Tsbk, Ogakijin, Ayako, and Kirk
It was a great party and we witnessed the couple's departure into new life.
They have lots of smiles and made others feel very happy for them!
Great stuff!
I had to make a quick speech for the couple… and I was the first.
I didn't prepare too much; though, it was okay. Hahaha.

Cherry Blossoms 2012
Weekend in Japan is NOW HERE!!!
I waited MoonFlower to be back home from school where she learns baking.
It was about 2pm… late for lunch. So we rushed.
Restaurant called "NEGISHI" - famous chain for beef and chicken.
I love this place! A bit expensive, but perfect place for a nice lunch.
MF didn't mind me picking this up. Hahaha.
After such satisfactory food, we went to part near Kinshicho to see some cherry blossoms.
This weekend is the time for seeing them for sure.
Look! So beautiful!
Bunch of people came out with something to eat… so-called "Hanami."
(literally, flower watching - meaning people do have some drinks under cherry blossoms every spring).
We just walked though the park and really appreciated the beauty of the nature.
Am so glad that I didn't miss this - nicely planned to be back in Japan! Hahaha.
Then checked some stuff in nearby department store - Marui.
Bought some stuff for myself… though no major ones.
For supper, it was MoonFlower's turn to choose.
She wanted to go to "Aida" where we used to go to.
That restaurant is located near the place I used to live right before getting married.
She and I used to go there quite sometime.
Since having moved to the other side of town, not much chance to.
We decided to take a long walk tonight!
Aida is yakitori place.
Good food as always is.
Side menu not much changed. Hahaha.
Man, ate too much! Both of us! Hahaha.
Was perfect day and night… cannot complain too much.
Agree?

Relaxing Friday
06, 04 12, 20:58
Relaxing Friday for sure.
Didn't go to work today. Didn't have to??? Hahaha.
Sure it is simply MY CHOICE while being in Japan… while away from the project in Bangkok!
Sounds nice, doesn't it?
I watched "Ten Commandment" on Star Channel.
This classic movie is exception to me…
I usually don't watch any classic… but this movie was memorable about understanding religion.
When I enrolled at Brevard College, I had to take religion class.
http://www.brevard.edu/
I had no idea about the Hebrew… or Jewish.
So this entertainment helped me see into what they were…
In the late afternoon, I finally went out.
To Shimbashi for seeing friend.
Went to restaurant for eating oden.
Oden is Japanese dish defined as:
"Oden is a Japanese winter dish consisting of several ingredients such as boiled eggs, daikon radish, konnyaku, and processed fish cakes stewed in a light, soy-flavoured dashi broth. Ingredients vary according to region and between each household. Karashi (Japanese mustard) is often used as a condiment."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oden
Fun talk with friend for hours.
Work, family, life style in Bangkok, etc. Endless.
Lots of laughs as well.
Made a quick appearance to the bar I usually go to.
Because the april is my birth month, the bar master bought me a nice bourbon.
"Fighting Cock" 6 years on the rock
It was sharp and vivid drink. Liked it.
Master and I were the same age… becoming good friends after all.
Cool.
I may go back to that bar again before next trip to Bangkok.

Now am in Japan! Am HOOOOME!!!
1st time in long time, I am back here. So good to be home!
TG (Thai Airways) flight was pretty comfortable…
Always good to have a in-seat monitor.
Watched:
Johnny English
I don't know how she does it
I believe that I saw another one… cannot remember the title. Hahaha.
And then, food.
Chose Chicken plate… not that good like before.
Worst - bread. I still prefer croissant to this bread.
Chicked was okay.
Rice - somehow not cooked the way I like. Too bad.
Anyhow, the airplane arrived Haneda (not Narita this time) around 10pm.
I made the bus right on time… didn't have to wait for next one.
I finally got back home before midnight. Yes, finally home, folks!
MoonFlower fixed something to eat. Japanese. Good as always.
11 days to go… in this time's "stay" in Tokyo.
Many friends to catch up with...

Biz Trip to BKK #3 Now Ends...
Finally coming to an end!!!
Now my biz trip to BKK #3 (in this year!) is done!
All scheduled work is completed!
Congrats to myself! Hahaha.
It was long 30 days for sure.
Started with Interview to the President.
Dealing with USD 700 million (revenue) company, it was very interesting to communicate such a fellow.
2 sessions with him must be memorial to my life and big milestone in my career as well.
Followed by numerous interview sessions.
All Executive Vice President of respective business divisions…
and all business unites managers and head of operations…
Long 30 days, huh? Sure thing!
I learned a lot not only about the corporate structure and business model but also-
corporate culture
management issues
Thailand's business practices, etc.
Isn't this a great learning opportunity for me? Yeah, surely it is!
I love it!
So far so good in making progress about this project, which I am quite content about.
Now 2 week "suspension."
Thailand is coming to a New Year holiday in its calendar and, as the client's favor, we have a short break.
Oh, I love this part as well. Hahaha.
Thus, today is last day for me to be in BKK on this trip.
Of course, I will be back here when resuming the work.
To be precise, I will fly back here on 17th. Work resumes on 23rd.
Friends in Japan… see y'all soonest!
Friends in Bangkok, hasta la vista!

Awful Golf Round
Folks… I cannot believe what happened to me.
Today, the usual at the final week in Bangkok every time… it is my routine that I play golf with friends.
Yes, it was for event of the day.
Too bad.
Remember that I made under 100 (99 to be precise) last round.
My expectation was even raised from there. Hahaha.
Well, it was all disappointment.
OUT 56
IN 60
TOTAL 116
Yeah, way over 100 today! What really just happened then? Hmm.
It was all mess today. No single clear shot for me.
Obviously, swing had a flaw.
I should practice? Hahaha. Maybe good idea.
Friend's golf debut as well. This is his swing on the 1st round ever in his life time.
Congratulations!
His swing is actually way much better than mine.
Yes, really.
